Katy is currently a member and vice president of the Ward County Bar Association. She is also a member of the North Dakota and American Bar Associations. Most Recently, Katy accepted an appointment to serve on the Editorial Board of The Gavel, the state bar association's quarterly publication.

Katy specializes in general practice with an emphasis in litigation and trial work. She also practices in the areas of adoptions, estate planning and oil and gas law.
