Orlin W. Backes
Orlin W. Backes received his law degree from the University of North Dakota in 1963, and was honored by the Law Review Board and the Order of the Coif.

Orlin served as president of the North Dakota State Bar Association. He is a Fellow and State Chair of the American College of Trial Lawyers, an Advocate and past National Director of the American Board of Trial Advocates. He has received the highest award of the North Dakota State Bar Association, the Distinguished Service Award.

Orlin has served as President of several community organizations and is a former mayor of the City of Minot, North Dakota. Orlin has given seminars on trial practice to the South Dakota Trial Lawyers Association, as well as on estate and real property practice to the Real Estate & Probate Section of the North Dakota Bar Association.

Orlin has a wealth of experience in many areas of the law, including Commercial and Employment Litigation, Real Estate, Estate Planning, and Probate.
